It is prohibited for landlords in Nebraska to discriminate against tenants based on the following:

-race

-color

-national origin

-religion

-sex

-disability

Housing situations that are covered generally include residential property owners, property managers, realtors and multiple listing services. However, exemptions exist for dwellings owned or operated by religious organization and private clubs for non-commercial purposes, housing for older persons, and owner-occupied private homes in which no more than three sleeping rooms are rented.

Unlawful housing practices generally include discrimination in the advertisement, acquisition, financing, or possession and enjoyment (terms, conditions, privileges) of residential property.
